In my opinion, flirting is just genuinely complimenting somepony! Of course, most of the time it’s to ponies you’re interested in dating, but there’s always that playfully flirty rapport between friends as well. It’s most effective when it’s unexpected - ‘n usually most appreciated then, too! To me, a successful flirting leaves the pony in question feelin’ a bit better about themselves than they did before ☆～（ゝ。∂）
